Petriti is a little village on Corfu’s southeast coast. It’s a traditional fishermen’s place with all its calm and charm. Unsurprisingly, most of the just 700 permanent residents are engaged in fishing.

There are a couple of picturesque harbors where colorful boats moor creating a kaleidoscopic vignette. A stroll around the harbor area in the early morning hours reveals an intense activity of the fishermen.

Set in the midst of a lush green forest cover, all around Petriti you will find numerous choices for hiking. Also worth visiting is the high altitude village of Korakades which is conspicuous by its magnificent church. It hosts priceless icons, murals, and wall paintings that adorn the parapets.

Close to Petriti are the villages of Lefkimmi and Boukari, both very tourist friendly and providing everything for your daily needs as a resident. Corfu town and airport are about 30km drive by car. Also a public bus determines Corfu town twice a day.
