Barbati is situated on the Northeast coast of Corfu. Built on the side of a dramatic mountain with a gorgeous beach to its feet, it has developed from a common village to a delightful beach resort. The main village of Barbati runs along both sides of the main coastal road from Corfu town which is just an easy 30 minutes drive away – alike is Corfu airport.
Thus, in Barbati you have the luxury of living off the busy town life and yet anytime being right in the middle of it quickly. There is also a regular public bus service connecting Barbati with Corfu town and Kassiopi.
Generally, Barbati is in a privileged position location wise: Several other beaches are close by and a handfull of small roads with amazing views lead from the village to the top of Mount Pantokratoras, with 946 m the island’s highest point and trail head for several great running and hiking trails.
Barbati offers its residents all amendities for everyday life – from a supermarket to laundry and cash service to decent places to eat and drink and a very well organized blue-flag beach with crystal clear water all year round. Not to forget: the stunning views. To the right you look across to Corfu town. You can spot the old town and the forts and see the cruise ships docked in the port. On the left the view goes to the mountain range of the Albanian coast line and the Greek mainland.
